# Privacy & data handling

Understand local history, online processing, and what to avoid sharing.

### Your device and online processing

Local chat history and online answer generation serve different purposes. This diagram summarizes the data handling described below.

### Access without an account

YPS AI Agent is designed for use without an account or login. The platform has no cookies or personal identifiers collected, and no assembly of conversations into personal or behavioral profiles.

### Chat history on your device

YPS AI Agent stores chat history locally on the user's device instead of retaining a server-side conversation history. Within an active conversation, the agent uses sandboxed memory to answer follow-up questions. A new chat does not carry context from another chat.

Local history and conversational context are different: seeing an earlier conversation on your device does not mean every new chat automatically remembers it. On a shared device, consider who else can access the browser and its locally stored information.

### Online processing

Questions are sent to a third-party AI service to generate answers. Local history therefore does not mean that the agent runs entirely on your device or that messages never leave it.

The statement that "it does not retain server-side conversation history" should not be interpreted as a verified guarantee about every infrastructure or service-provider log. This documentation does not establish the API provider's complete retention terms.

### AI model & enterprise data protection

YPS AI Agent uses Google’s Gemini 3.6 Flash through an enterprise API service.

As part of the enterprise API’s data protection features, users’ chat messages, prompts, context provided for AI processing, and generated responses are not used to train or fine-tune Google’s large language models (LLMs).

### What not to enter

Do not submit confidential documents, personal identifiers, private contact details, sensitive case information, or information that could expose people to harm. Describe situations in general terms and remove identifying details.

### No document uploads

The assistant does not accept uploaded documents. This limits the personal files users can inadvertently share through the product.
