# Languages & accessibility

Broader access, with clear translation limitations.

### Multilingual access

YPS AI is designed to support questions and answers in up to 61 languages. You can ask for an explanation in your preferred supported language or request simpler wording.

### Translation limitations

The underlying documents **have not been professionally translated** into all supported languages. AI-assisted translation can lose nuance, especially in specialist terminology, institutional language, and languages less represented in the source collection.

Language support should not be read as equal accuracy across all languages. The available project documentation does not report completed language-by-language validation.

### Use translated answers carefully

* Check important terms against the original source where possible.
* Ask for an explanation of unfamiliar YPS terminology.
* Have consequential translations reviewed by someone familiar with the language and subject.
* Do not present an AI-translated passage as an official translation.

### Accessible display options

The described interface includes large text, high-contrast, and color-blind-friendly display modes. These are intended to make reading easier for users with different needs.

**The availability of these features is not a claim of independently verified accessibility compliance.** User feedback and practical testing remain necessary.
