# Getting started

Ask specific questions and check the evidence behind an answer.

### Ask a question

Describe what you want to understand and, when relevant, your country or context. You do not need specialist terminology or an account. Avoid sharing personal, confidential, or sensitive information.

### Try these examples

* Explain the five pillars of the Youth, Peace & Security agenda in simple language.
* What do available YPS sources say about meaningful youth participation in national action plans?
* Compare approaches to youth participation described in the national action plans..
* Suggest activities for a youth peacebuilding in Central Asia, grounded in the available evidence.
* What's the connection of intergenerational peacebuilding and YPS?
* Which sources support your answer, and what remains uncertain?

### Refine your question

You can ask follow-up questions within an active conversation. Add the audience, desired format, or level of detail: for example, “Explain this for a youth coalition” or “Give me a short comparison.” Use the source filter when you want to focus on a particular category, such as national action plans.

### Review the answer

1. Read the answer and any uncertainty it identifies.
2. Check the cited documents for the claims you intend to use.
3. Look at publication dates and the geographical context.
4. Separate what the source states from interpretations and proposed activities.
5. **Apply local knowledge and professional judgment before acting.**

### If an answer is incomplete

The relevant evidence may be absent from the collection, outdated, or insufficiently specific. Try clarifying the question or asking what the available sources can establish. A fluent answer is not proof that every claim is correct.
